The iOpener Institute defines happiness at work as: “… a mindset which enables action to maximize performance and achieve potential.

Increasing the levels of happiness in organizations has been proven to increase productivity (time on task), creativity and energy levels, and to decrease staff rotation and sick leave. A key to achieving greater happiness in an organization is raising people’s awareness that happiness is their own, not the organization’s, responsibility.

As a specific example of the impact of happiness work, the happiest people are productive about 80% of the time, while the least happy are productive only 40%. This is measured by the % of time that people are focused on their tasks. The implication of this is that the happiest people are providing a company 1.25 days a week more of their time than the least happy. Just think what could happen if every person in your organization were a little happier!

We apply the highly rigorous Science of Happiness at Work diagnostic tools (either at individual, team or organization-wide levels), as a way to identify points of intervention to increase happiness. We then accompany the organization in designing and implementing changes, either at an individual, team or organizational level.
