
Helena Wygard
Helena is a founding partner of BE WATER Consulting. She has more than 20 years experience in management consulting and coaching, specializing in strategy and organizational and cultural change. One of her distinctive abilities has been helping individuals and teams to identify and analyze their strengths, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors in order to achieve the results they seek. She achieves results by combining a deep understanding of individuals and their behavior, with a great experience of how organizations and businesses needs to function. She has worked with many company leaders and their teams to achieve results.
She has led and participated in national and international organizations in the fields of energy, telecommunications, tourism and services, both in the public and private sectors. Over the years, Helena has focused on achieving a practical impact: acting, evaluating and reflecting on the effectiveness of different interventions. She seeks out, researches and tests those actions that result in sustainable, positive change, both for individuals and for organizations. Examples of her experience include:

For a national oil company: participated in the integral transformation of an operating subsidiary, including work on strategy, processes and organization, resulting in savings of more than 100MM USD/ year

For a technological research and development organization, managed the definition of their purpose and vision, their organizational and culture adjustment, and the development of their commercial strategy, based on key client team management. The different phases of this project resulted in the sale of more than 50MM dollar’s worth of projects and the designation of the institution as the first national public research center.

For an international organization in the service industry, coached the CEO and the leadership team, to help them increase their rigor and creativity in strategic conversations and their efficiency in coordinating the actions of the organization.
Helena has a Master's degree in Literature from Cambridge University and has worked in various consulting companies, including Arthur D. Little, Battelle Memorial Institute and Schlumberger Business Consulting. She is on the board of governors of the American British Cowdray Hospital in Mexico and on the board of JUCONI, an organization working to end violence for vulnerable children and families.
She is a graduate in Ontological Coaching from the Newfield Network in the USA, a member of the International Coach Federation and the International Positive Psychology Association. She has a diploma in Positive Psychology from the Iberoamericana University, is certified in Storytelling coaching and is an associate in The Science of Happiness at Work with the iOpener Institute, in Oxford.
She is Mexican- English, with a bit of Russian and Polish thrown in. She lives happily in Mexico City with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she loves to build what she likes to think of as sculptures with great symbolic meaning.
