Andrew Wygard

 

Andrew has carried out projects both in the US and Mexico, as well as having worked in Europe and North Africa. His areas of expertise include Change management, Strategic Planning and Organizational design and implementation.

Planning and Change Management projects in which he has participated, include the following:

  • Preparing strategic plans for different business units in the Latin American subsidiaries of a multinational chemical conglomerate.

  • Analysis of options for the development and growth of a pharmaceutical company in Mexico.

  • Corporate portfolio analysis for a metallurgical group in order to help define their general objectives and specific aims.

  • For different sized family enterprises, strategic analyses and organizational change proposals directed towards helping family members reach consensus and define a common vision for growth.

  • Diversification and growth options for various medium and large industrial and service companies.

  • Visioning and problem resolution analyses for government institutions throughout Latin America.

Andrew has an MA in Economics and Modern languages from Cambridge University and did postgraduate work in Regional Economics at Glasgow University

He worked for 25 years with Arthur D. Little, where he became DG of the Mexico Office and VP for Latin America. Before joining Arthur D. Little, he was Economic Advisor to the President of an important Mexican metalworking group with operations in Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina and the Andean Group. Prior to that he worked for The Economist Intelligence Unit, first in London and North Africa, and then as Project Manager in the EIU´s Regional Office for Latin America.

Andrew is totally bilingual in English and Spanish and speaks good French and Portuguese.
