Alfonso Ventura Nevares
Alfonso has worked for more than 25 years in the private and public sector, in the medical, tourism and construction industries and has broad experience as a CEO and in management.
He has specialized in understanding business contexts, defining direction and aligning resources to achieve ambitious objectives. He has achieved results by managing cultural transformation and prioritizing human development, as well as focusing on innovation, execution and results.
He focuses on how to bring a company, its shareholders and employees to higher levels of leadership and prosperity.
Alfonso was General Director of Grupo Diagnóstico Aries, the fastest growing and most promising consortium of clinical and medical analysis laboratories in Mexico, including more than 80 branches, 1,300 employees and 1.3 million patients, with a 99.6% rate of client satisfaction. He defined the strategy and integration plan for the group, resulting in above budget annual results: sales (+ 5%); EBITDA (+ 50%), with an approximate turnover of one billion Mexican pesos.
Previous to his work at Aries, he was General Director of OLAB, the fastest growing laboratory in Mexico, owned by Nexxus Capital. He grew the organization to make it the best company in clinical and medical analysis in Mexico. Olab had been in the market for 55 years and had 670 employees, 23 branches and 10 mobile laboratories. It had been owned by private equity fund, Nexxus since 2009. As CEO, Alfonso generated 72% growth in sales; 750% in EBITDA; and 93% growth in branches.
Alfonso is an enthusiast in innovation and creating opportunities for human development. He believes in strategy and loves execution. He was born in 1970 in Mexico City and studies Business Administration at UDLA (University of the Americas); Sustainable Development at the UIA (Iberoamericana University) y Business Management at the IPADE (Business School of the Panamerican University).
He is married with two children, is an avid reader (and practitioner of what he reads!), a triathlete and marathon runner.
